    Cover Art Collection

This shirt features the beautiful 'Starry Day' cover art from Jubilee, our first full-length album. Lightweight and breathable. A bit nicer than Gildan so it's a couple bucks more. Available in 3 great colors- which one do you like the best?

SPECIAL NOTE, PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

    1. To choose your color (yellow, forest, or white), please choose "Include a message to Atlas & Oracle" while adding the item to your cart.
    2. Starting with 2XL, the shirts start getting $2 more expensive to produce per upsize. If you're able, consider chipping in a couple extra dollars!
    3. XS and 5XL are NOT available in Forest or Yellow. Apologies, this is a restraint of the printing company.

This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!

about

Ska has had a special place in my heart for over 10 years.

Picture this: I was an awkward 10th grader who didn't really like anything. I had a lot of extracurriculars, but none of them really spoke to me. I had no community, and though I had a few friend I didn't have time to hang out with them all that often.

But I had one thing I was good at: I played trombone.

I didn't really practice, but I didn't really need to. Expectations were low, and the songs were easy. I was in the pep band because they needed the trombones, and this was the first time I actually liked the music.

The kids in the years above me were way cooler than me, and they were all friends with each other. I could hear them having cool conversations about cool music, and I wished I could be cool like that.

I heard them talking about mosh pits, which I associated with heavy music. I heard one of them playing Atreyu once, which I thought of as screamo. And though I didn't love it, I knew I had to get into that kind of music if I wanted to be cool like them.

So I sat down with an open mind to listen to one of the bands I heard them talking about sometimes. I went to a random album and clicked play on the first song.

It was We Will Fall Together by Streetlight Manifesto.

I had never heard horns in that context before. Actually, I had- when my sister gave me a mix CD with Where'd You Go by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. That was the first time I heard trombone in a song that spoke to me. But I had never looked further into it- I didn't know there was more to be discovered.

'Somewhere in the Between' changed all that. I would go on to listen to it and all their others on repeat for years, and again intermittently for years after. Even when my friends bullied me out of listening to ska for a few years in college, I would still put on Streetlight.

From Streetlight I found Mad Caddies, Reel Big Fish, rediscovered the Bosstones and from there fellow Boston legends Big D & the Kids Table. All these bands would go on to see significant playtime from me. My favorite bands were the ones with horns.

I never did become friends with those older kids, but I'll always appreciate their presence in my young life. I don't think I could have found another genre that I liked as much as ska, and nothing excites me more than the community and scene that is growing around the modern bands.

There's a lot that I want to say. I feel that I don't have much time to say it. But if I keep it inside, it boils up and drives me crazy.

So expect more from Atlas & Oracle. We've only just begun.

Love always,
Atlas

lyrics

Where can I go when no one knows
What's right?
When I have almost lost the will
To fight?

Well I'm not much of a dancer
Though some might think that's wrong
But if you go to the ska show
Well, I just might come along

I know a place where people know
What's real
The ticket price is always quite
The steal

Now I'm not one for dancing
Though some might say that's wrong
But if that ska music's playing,
Well, I just might sing along

Bwa dah dah dah dee
Bwa dah dah dah doh
Bwa dah dah dah dwee dadi dadi
Dum bah dee dee dum bah doh
Yeah
Bwa dah dah dah dee
Bwa dah dah dah doh
Bwa dah dah dah dwee dadi dadi
Dum bah dee dee dum bah doh
Yeah
