  • T-Shirt/Shirt

    Cover Art Collection

This shirt features the beautiful 'Starry Day' cover art from Jubilee, our first full-length album. Lightweight and breathable. A bit nicer than Gildan so it's a couple bucks more. Available in 3 great colors- which one do you like the best?

SPECIAL NOTE, PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:

    1. To choose your color (yellow, forest, or white), please choose "Include a message to Atlas & Oracle" while adding the item to your cart.
    2. Starting with 2XL, the shirts start getting $2 more expensive to produce per upsize. If you're able, consider chipping in a couple extra dollars!
    3. XS and 5XL are NOT available in Forest or Yellow. Apologies, this is a restraint of the printing company.

This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!

This also means that shirts are coming out of production facilities in multiple global locations. This also means that shirts are coming out of production facilities in multiple global locations. about

How much death is acceptable for others to prosper?

Different people have different answers to this question. Different people have different tolerances for death.

Some don't care if they don't know the people who died. Some don't care if they order the death themselves.

Of course, we aren't taught of all the times through history that this was done on our behalf. Instead, we're constantly reminded of all the amazing things that couldn't have existed without it. Even when they do reveal parts, they don't tell the whole story.

They try to bury the truth. But the truth can't stay buried forever.

This song was written around the time that the Canadian residential schools were being excavated and dozens of bodies were discovered- indigenous children who had been sent to the schools to "educate" and "civilize" them.

"Kill the Indian, save the man."

That's a quote from the man who founded the first off-reservation boarding school for Native Americans.

That's also right around the time that "critical race theory" became a hot talking point. The idea was that teachers today were indoctrinating the children against America by teaching them the very real horrors that lay in our country's history.

The truth cannot remain buried forever. It's pointless to try. You'd have to burn every book, destroy every internet archive, and kill everyone who stands against you.

So can we just admit what happened? Can we take steps to heal the intergenerational trauma that our country was built on? Can we at least attempt to undo the damage that has variously and unequally subjected some while benefiting others?

We have to. We don't have a choice. The past WILL come to reckon.

lyrics

There is so much to know
And the most of it just makes you go
Burn it all and start again
So the past will come to reckon

What's right about the situation?
I was lost but now I see
It's gonna take some mediation
To tame the flock of Phareses

It's like we're learning how to drive
And learned to speed up but we can't slow down
What does it take to feel alive?

All these children laid to waste
All these memories erased
And we're told to soldier on
Focus on ourselves alone
We're caught in the middle

There is so much to know
And the most of it just makes you go
Burn it all and start again
So the past will come to reckon

There is so much to see
And there's so many things each of us could be, so
Burn it all and start again
Cause the past will come to reckon
