T-Shirt/Shirt
Cover Art Collection
This shirt features the beautiful 'Starry Day' cover art from Jubilee, our first full-length album. Lightweight and breathable. A bit nicer than Gildan so it's a couple bucks more. Available in 3 great colors- which one do you like the best?
SPECIAL NOTE, PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
1. To choose your color (yellow, forest, or white), please choose "Include a message to Atlas & Oracle" while adding the item to your cart.
2. Starting with 2XL, the shirts start getting $2 more expensive to produce per upsize. If you're able, consider chipping in a couple extra dollars!
3. XS and 5XL are NOT available in Forest or Yellow. Apologies, this is a restraint of the printing company.
This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
This also means that shirts are coming out of production facilities in multiple global locations. This also means that shirts are coming out of production facilities in multiple global locations. about
The only thing I don't like about Bandcamp is that there's no way to schedule a track upload. Has to be the same day! Well I'm stressed about starting promotion so I won't write as much here as I did on Soundcloud when I uploaded it last week, but I would be remiss not to talk about the song anywhere permanent.
Kicking things down the line is something that I've done my entire life. Sometimes you get lucky and kick things down the line long enough that they stop being important. In a way, this is the effect of making a choice by not choosing- I'll never know the impact of the projects I've forgotten about, or the friendships I could have had if I had been on the ball.
But I don't think it's entirely my fault. Besides the ADHD, which of course makes things harder, it's a cultural phenomenon. We feel uncomfortable with the current state of things, but we refuse to commit the resources needed to fix them. So things get kicked down the line, year after year, decade after decade.
Wounds go unhealed. New wounds are opened and not tended to. Meanwhile, that happy segment of us who don't know the truth think that this is just the way things have to be. Most of us started there, and we all have remnants of this ideology in hidden parts of our psyche that can be at times hard or even impossible to notice.
They kick things down the line, and become increasingly frustrated that we aren't just going away. God, that's all they want- for us to just SHUT UP. Just accept our place in society- on the bottom, that is- and they'll let a few of us join them. Not a bad deal- hey, it could be anybody! It could even be you!
Except in all likelihood, it won't be. Even if you are uniquely situated to succeed in this society, that success most always comes at the cost of others, and it is impossible to be a wholehearted individual while participating in this system.
But we have to participate to survive, so it starts rubbing off on us. We start policing ourselves- we feel bad when we're unproductive. We hate ourselves for being exhausted during our times off. But that's not an accident- that's by design.
What can we do about this? It's hard to see a proper solution. I mean, there's about a dozen things we SHOULD do about a LOT of things, immediately- but realistically, how can we make it happen when the system is designed for us to fail, and then die?
I believe there is an answer. But first we need to make a lot of people accept that there is a problem. We can't afford to kick this down the line anymore. We never really could.
lyrics
As the sun begins to rise
Tell me where your beauty lies
Tell me where the beauty lies
In letting other people die
Telling us not to bemoan
Spoiled food and empty homes
And it’s hard just to get by
See familiar faces struggling just to say they survived
And so many people die
While they all wonder how they’ll spend all of their money this time
And the leaders they don’t mind
They’ve been led to turn their heads to the side
Time and time and time again they
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line and call us sinners
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line and who's the winner
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line and call us sinners
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line and who's the winner
And it’s hard just to get by
See familiar faces struggling just to say they survived
And they watch so many die
While they sit in their castles wondering just how they’re gonna spend it this time, they
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line and call us sinners
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line
Kick it on down the line and who's the winner

There are parts to dance to, there are parts to headbang to, and sometimes you'll want to do both in the same song. Each song is its own sonic world. Ska, but also punk, metal, and indie. Atlas & Oracle
This album takes a traditionally rooted but definitively modern approach to ska with an anti-racist message that's refreshingly political. One of the best debuts in ska, and there's stiff competition. Atlas & Oracle
Each track introduces brand new sounds to ska. This album makes me excited to be alive for this era of ska music, and even more excited for the checkered future. Atlas & Oracle
Adopting an optimistic, genre-fluid mindset atypical to most contemporary punk rock, the Aussies rage against the machine with glee. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2024
