The following are the liner notes from that release:

"This song is about all of the things I wish I could take back. I've made a lot of mistakes in my life- I feel like I've hurt a lot of people. I've been told that this is a common feeling, and can sometimes be exaggerated from reality, but I feel it very strongly nonetheless.

This is my greatest shame- the hypothetical proof that I might not be the good person that I like to think I am. But in this shame comes strength. In knowing and acknowledging the worst parts of myself, I can overcome them.

This song is about coming to terms with the worst parts of your past, and coming out stronger on the other end. It's about the everlasting hope that we can be the good person we see ourselves as, and that we can make the difference we want to make in this world. If you can relate, ask yourself- what can you do to better yourself today?

And it's ok if the answer today is nothing. Just try again tomorrow.
